　　The development of plastic bags towards green is closely related to people's concern for environmental protection. Since the 1970s, many countries have begun to develop green plastic bags. Since polyethylene and polypropylene are mainly polyolefins, they cannot be decomposed in a short time. Finally, scientists synthesized a series of polyester materials that can be decomposed by microorganisms, and green materials extracted from some renewable resources (such as straw, bagasse, corn starch, etc.) to make truly biodegradable green plastic bags.

　　The biodegradable packaging bag must meet three conditions:

　　1、 It must be able to be completely degraded to produce carbon dioxide and water;

　　2、 It must be completely degraded within 180 days under industrial composting conditions;

　　3、 It is non-toxic after degradation and has no impact on the environment.

　　Biodegradable materials have been widely used in the customization of packaging bags, which can be treated in composting plants and become organic fertilizers after 30-45 days. Since the 1990s, western countries have begun to use biodegradable shopping bags and kitchen garbage bags.

　　Due to the short time of using biodegradable packaging bags in China, many customers who need customized packaging bags do not know how to identify biodegradable packaging bags. As this kind of packaging bag has no obvious difference from ordinary plastic bags in appearance, a series of standards have been issued in the world: ISO14855, EN13432, ASTM-D6400.
