What are the factors that affect the quality of sterile bags

Sterile bags are widely used for the transportation and temporary storage of sterile solid raw materials, sterile pharmaceutical excipients, sterile preparations, and other products due to their sterile, non-toxic, excellent low-temperature resistance, good chemical stability, and electrical insulation properties, as well as the transit packaging of sterile rubber stoppers from cleaning to filling lines. In order not to affect the use of the product, strict quality control is necessary. Below, we will introduce the factors that affect the quality of sterile bags.

1、 There are three commonly used insulation materials for the oxygen resistance performance of bags:

1. Basic isolation, using aluminum plated PET;

2. High isolation, using aluminum plated PET+EVOH, such as the outer membrane composite yellow PE film (commonly known as gold bag) we see, or the sterile bag distinguished by blue PE film;

3. Super isolation, using pure aluminum platinum composite film.

The above three different types of materials correspond to different filling materials separately, and are selectively used, not just a thousand times. For example, it is recommended to use high isolation bags for mango juice and coconut juice. It is necessary to use super isolation or cooperative refrigerated storage for low sugar cloudy juice and NFC juice.

2、 Flexibility, the softer the bag, the less prone it is to creases and spot like leaks. Currently, several mainstream sterile bag factories are undergoing technological transformation, striving to make the bags softer and more durable.

3、 The heat sealing property and the heat sealing strength of the bag need to be good, with pressure resistance and impact resistance. This technical requirement is generally met by current sterile bag enterprises.

4、 Sealing of the lid: The lid of a sterile bag can be regarded as the core quality control point, requiring the lid to be resistant to high temperature and low freezing temperature, and to have flexibility and consolidation together. There are high requirements for the formulation of plastic materials and the accuracy of plastic molds. Any aseptic bag enterprise that independently produces lids strictly controls this quality.
