The melting temperature of polyethylene crystal is also affected by the number of branches and chains, which are distributed from 90 ℃ to 130 ℃. The more branches and chains, the lower the melting temperature. Polyethylene single crystals can usually be prepared by dissolving high-density polyethylene in xylene at temperatures above 130 ℃.
